Notice of works on the 5th floor

We would like to apologise in advance for any noise or disturbance to researchers in our Reading Room due to the upgrading of staff offices on the 5th floor.
The works are expected to take place between mid-July and mid-September.
During this time, we do not expect that our services to the public will be affected.
The Reading Room will operate as usual from
10 am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Our Genealogy Advisory Service will continue to operate from
10 am – 1 pm and 2 pm – 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
There will be continued access to finding aids and digitised records
The National Archives regrets any inconvenience that this work may cause.
