Report of 5 February 1916

The report of 5 February 1916 states that following inquiries ‘it has been ascertained that Thomas J Clarke is confined to his residence at 10 Richmond Avenue suffering from a cold’. Despite his absence, a number of individuals are observed entering his shop at 75 Parnell Street, including Seán MacDiarmada, Edward Daly, Diarmuid Lynch, [James] O’Connor, Herbert ‘Barney’ Mellows and Joseph Murray.
A meeting in the office of the Irish Volunteers, 2 Dawson Street, is attended by Bulmer Hobson, Herbert ‘Barney’ Mellows, Eimar O’Duffy and Laurence Raul.
The report concludes with details of those in attendance at the trial of Alexander McCabe at Green Street, which resulted in his acquittal.
