The report of 4 October 1915 records visits to the shop of Thomas J Clarke, 75 Parnell Street, on Saturday 2 October by Joseph McGuinness, Thomas Byrne and James J Buggy, followed by Con Colbert and Dr P McCartan, Piaras Béaslaí and TJ Sheehan.

 

JJ Walsh is observed in his shop at 26 Blessington Street on Saturday 2.

 

The departure of [James] O’Connor by train to Goolds Cross [County Tipperary]  is noted, as is the arrival of Diarmuid Lynch from Cork and Thomas Kenny from Craughwell [County Galway].

 

On Sunday 3 October, Clarke is visited by Seán T Ó Ceallaigh, John O’Mahony and Joseph McGuinness. Clarke was later seen leaving his Richmond Avenue home in the company of Dr P McCartan. A visit by McCartan to St Mary’s Private Hospital in Eccles Street is noted, followed by his return, in the company of Clarke, to Richmond Avenue.

 

The departure of Thomas Kenny by train for Ballinasloe is noted.

 

The report concludes with details of the ‘usual Sunday Suffragette meeting’, held in the Phoenix Park, where it was announced it would be the ‘last outdoor meeting of the Season’.
