Report of 30 March 1916

The report of 30 March 1916 states that Thomas J Clarke did not visit his shop at 75 Parnell Street. In his absence, his shop is visited by Con Colbert, John McGarry, Piaras Béaslaí and Edward Daly.
The departure of Joseph Murray by train to Ardee [County Louth] is noted.
Arthur Griffith and Charles S [Wyse] Power are observed in company at College Green.
A meeting in the office of the Irish Volunteers, 2 Dawson Street, is attended by Michael J O’Rahilly, Edward O’Kelly, Jeremiah Joseph O’Connell, Herbert ‘Barney’ Mellows, Charles S [Wyse] Power, Jeremiah [Diarmuid] Lynch, William T Cosgrave and Patrick Ryan. The subsequent departure of Charles S [Wyse] Power by train to Tipperary and Jeremiah Joseph O’Connell to Sligo is noted. A second meeting later the same evening is attended by Eoin MacNeill, Patrick H Pearse, Michael J O’Rahilly, Thomas MacDonagh, John Fitzgibbon, Jeremiah [Diarmuid] Lynch, Seán MacDiarmada, [James] O’Connor, Éamonn Ceannt, Laurence Raul, John E Lyons, Piaras Béaslaí and Michael O’Hanrahan.
JJ Walsh is observed in his shop at 26 Blessington Street.
The report concludes with details of the assembly of around 54 members of the Irish Volunteers ‘without rifles’ at 25 Rutland Square and their march towards Drumcondra under the command of John O’Hanrahan and Charles D Somers. Upon their return, the Volunteers ‘were drilled on the thoroughfare for half an hour’. Fenton Lynch ‘National School Teacher’ is observed exiting 25 Rutland Square ‘but he took no part in the parade’.
