CSO_JD_2_169_00001

(NAI, CSO/JD/2/169)

The report of 28 December 1915 does not record any visitors to the shop of Thomas J Clarke, 75 Parnell Street. Clarke left for Limerick on 24 December and has not yet returned.

The departure of Francis J Biggar by train to Belfast is noted. Earlier in the day, Herbert M Pim was observed arriving on the Belfast train. Pim subsequently delivered a lecture entitled ‘The Present Situation’ to an audience of approximately 150 people at 41 Parnell Square. Those in attendance included Laurence Ginnell MP [Member of Parliament], Thomas McCarthy, MW O’Reilly, Thomas MacDonagh, Thomas Byrne and Thomas S Cuffe. A concert was also held on the night.
