Report of 27 October 1915

The report of 27 October 1915 records visits to the shop of Thomas J Clarke, 75 Parnell Street, by Con Colbert, followed by Seán T Ó Ceallaigh, William J Ryan, Edward Daly, Thomas MacDonagh, Charles J Kickham, Thomas Byrne, MW O’Reilly, William O’Leary Curtis and Piaras Béaslaí.
A meeting in the office of the Irish Volunteers, 2 Dawson Street, is attended by Bulmer Hobson, Michael J O’Rahilly, Michael O’Hanrahan and John Fitzgibbon.
The departure of Countess Markievicz by train to Belfast is noted.
The report concludes with a meeting between Con Collins, Piaras Béaslaí and Edward Daly in the Ship Hotel, Abbey Street.
An annotation on the report states ‘I want a complete set of this weeks Sinn Fein papers to send to HE [His Excellency]’. A reply to the Under Secretary states ‘Set of papers sent with today’s report WEJ [WE Johnstone]’.
Copies are included of the latest issues of The Hibernian and Honesty ‘both of which contain notes of an anti-British character’.
