Report of 22 October 1915

The report of 22 October 1915 records visits to the shop of Thomas J Clarke, 75 Parnell Street, by Michael O’Hanrahan, followed by William O’Leary Curtis, Joseph Murray, Thomas Byrne, [James] O’Connor and Seán T Ó Ceallaigh.
The arrival of J McDonnell by night mail train from Tralee [County Kerry] is noted.
Michael O’Hanrahan is observed in the office of the Irish Volunteers, 2 Dawson Street. He is visited during this time by HJ Grant of Lawler and Son, gun dealers, Fownes Street.
JJ Walsh is observed in his shop at 26 Blessington Street.
The report concludes with details of the assembly of around 50 members of the ‘Sinn Féin Volunteers’ at 41 Parnell Square where they were drilled by Joseph McGuinness.
A copy is included of the latest issue of The Workers’ Republic, which contains ‘a letter from Miss Louie Bennett on the Union of Democratic Control in Ireland’.
