Report of 21 September 1915

The report of 21 September 1915 records a meeting in the shop of Thomas J Clarke, 75 Parnell Street, which was attended by Seán MacDiarmada, John McGarry, Major John MacBride, Seán T Ó Ceallaigh, Con Colbert and William O’Leary Curtis. Clarke was also visited at various times later in the day by Patrick Tobin, James Stritch and James J Buggy, and Piaras Béaslaí and JJ McCabe.
Herbert ‘Barney’ Mellows and Michael O’Hanrahan are observed in the office of the Irish Volunteers, 2 Dawson Street.
The arrival of James M Sullivan ‘returned American’ by train from Limerick is noted.
Seán T Ó Ceallaigh is observed in the shop of JJ Walsh, 26 Blessington Street.
The report concludes with details of an inquiry into ‘seditious pamphlets sent through the Post and bearing…the name of a well-know Dublin Seed Merchant’.
