(Above) Letter dated 7 April 1923 from the Governor-General, Timothy Healy, to the Duke of Devonshire, Secretary of State for the Colonies, regarding bounties paid to the parents of triplets. Healy informs the Secretary that Irish Ministers wish to be discontinued the practice of applying to the Crown for grants from the Royal Bounty for triplets born in the Irish Free State and that alternative financial provision for such cases will be made by the Irish Government.
