Conservation of part of the 1911 census

Temporary closure of archives

February 21st, 2012

Refurbishment works are currently being carried out in parts of the National Archives’ offsite storage in the Four Courts and as a result, all archives must be removed from the affected areas and will be unavailable to the public for the duration of the works (February-June). We apologise for any inconvenience the temporary closure of archives causes readers.

Women’s history and transportation resources

The Directory of Sources for Women’s History in Ireland and the Women in 20th-Century Ireland – 1922-1966 databases together with the Ireland-Australia transportation database are currently available to search on our site as .csv files and .pdf files respectively, pending the completion of a more accessible solution which will be in the near future.
